Thank you for visiting my page. Let me share a little bit about myself and what it will be like working with me.
I am on a journey, just like you. My journey is about love and connection; connection to my body, my soul, the earth, and to you. It is about learning from my past, embracing the present moment, and actualizing my hopes for the future.
My past includes a long history of pelvic pain. In preschool, I developed holding patterns after many sleepless nights of wriggling in discomfort from a pinworm infection. In elementary school, I often visited the nurse's office complaining of stomach aches. In high school, I went home agonizing with menstrual pain once a month. In college, I developed severe abdominal cramping, generalized bloating, anal spasms, and on going constipation. In graduate school, the menstrual pain continued to be debilitating after I lapsed on my birth control prescription, and the bloating and constipation contributed to developing hemorrhoids. All I knew was pelvic pain, menstrual pain, constipation, and anal pain. My parents spent much time, money, and worry on my doctor's visits, diagnostic procedures, and medicine throughout my youth.
Then I learned of Pelvic Physical Therapy and my Life changed.
My present looks much different. I use nutrition, exercise, and meditation to manage my stress, depression, and pain. My menstrual cycles are well managed. I have normal bowel movements everyday. I do not obsess over food or worry about bloating after every meal. I know my body and my needs better. I am more resilient to the stressors life brings. I enjoy hiking, yoga, meditation, cooking, baking, spending quality time with friends and family, and playing with my two bunnies, Oliver and Luna. I am not a Mother, yet, but I feel my calling to be in the future. I have found freedom in my body.
This is the WHY to what I do. I help women and children on their wellness journeys. I am trained and qualified in this specialized work. If you would like to see more of my credentials including my Doctoral degree, a Certification of Achievement in Pregnancy and PostPartum Physical Therapy, and coursework I have taken, please see my curriculum vitae attached.
I am sharing my story with you in hopes that you will truly understand my approach to helping you heal from the inside out. What is your story?
let me join you on your journey.
I practice an integrative approach to wellness. I do not claim to have all the answers, nor to be a healer. What I offer is a partnership. My interventions include education, manual therapeutic techniques including visceral, myofascial, and internal pelvic mobilizations, yoga therapy, meditation practice, and general life coaching. We will work together to develop a personalized plan for you to reach your wellness goals. At the completion of your therapy, YOU will be responsible for the changes you have made. This is my way of empowering you to lead a life of Freedom in your Body.
This serves my goal of connecting with others on my journey through this life.
I look forward to connecting with you. The Light in me, honors the Light in you.
